Am I asking too much?

So far I have:
Picked the venue (ceremony and reception).
Picked the photographer
Picked the caterer and meal plan
Picked the DJ
Handled the decorations
Designed our DIY invitations
Got names/addresses for everyone on my side and even some on his side (his side makes up 70% of the guest list)
Got a few quotes on flowers
Picked my dress, veil and tiara
Picked Bridesmaid dresses
Picked flower girl dresses

I’ve asked him to call the marriage commissioner and book him. So far his excuse is that he doesn’t have time. Please note I’m the one that works in the small town our wedding will be in, got his numbers and pricing information I just want my fianc√© to set up a meeting to draw up a contract and confirm what type of ceremony we want and the flow of events.

Is it asking too much that he handle setting up this one meeting?
sorry I meant to say I was the one that found the marriage commissioner that works in the small town where our wedding is to take place.

No you’re not asking too much, you’re assuming too much. A wedding should be a joint endeavor – do you have any reason to believe he gives a good G-D about the flowergirl dresses?
Back off, girl. Tell your fiance that you’re ready to make the frilly arrangements, and that you’ll do it as soon as he’s made the manly arrangement. You’re going to scare him into sterility at the rate you’re going.

Does he work M-F? I know it’s hard to make phone calls from work (limited break times).
Can he e-mail the marriage commissioner?
Perhaps he can call when he is on a weekday off, or on a vacation day? Or try calling the marriage commissioner before/after his shift?
Can you perhaps post a post-it note on the door on his way out?

I am not saying it is too much to ask. I just know how hard it is to work around work scheduals.
And most of the weddings we have attended in the last 9 years, the women had planned it, and the guy just goes along with whatever she wants LOL.

Here’s the deal: As guys, planning the wedding just isn’t our thing.

We just show up for the ride.
