Tree branches in tall vases make very dramatic centerpieces. Go to a craft store like Michael’s for ideas.

Oriental Trading

Search the Internet for like a warehouse possibly located in your area, sometimes they have places liek that with relatively inexpensive decorations.

Also, be creative go to walmart or the dollar stores and put things together. I did that for my wedding, we made beautiful vase stands with fake flowers they looked real.

Just get creative.

Good Luck

If you have a Michaels in your town…they always have 50% off one item coupons…everytime I went there I picked up something! Also their website has some great ideas…

It also has ideas to make your own flower arrangements…I did everything myself and ending up spending between flowers and decor only about $300.00!

If you’ve given yourself plenty of time to plan and collect things – go to places like JoAnne Fabrics, Michaels, etc. and keep an eye on their sales. Sign up for their mailing lists and they’ll send you good coupons. You can just buy throughout the year and get really good deals. Silk flowers – can be just as pretty as real flowers. Keep an eye out for coupons to stores and big sales and see what you can find (chocolate for guest gifts, jewelry for bridal party, etc). Don’t ever buy anything full price if you can’t help it. Dollar stores can be good for misc. things (little jars for candles, candles, baskets, etc). Tell close friends/family to keep an eye out for good coupons and sales in stores – they might find something you missed.

I love candlelight for great ambiance at an evening wedding. We ordered unscented candles in the color of the bridesmaids dresses from for 75 cents each. We found crystal votive holders on closeout at a craft store for 50 cents. We put mirrors (purchased at a craft store) under the votives to reflect the light, and we spread rose petals around the mirror. (The florist making the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets sold them to us for next to nothing.) Our tables were small, so we only needed one per table, but for larger tables you can use three votives. Out total cost per table was $2.50.

Find out what you have and what you have access to from your friends and family. In my case we are trying to save everywhere we can. My grandmother has 30+ old oil lamps and my mom has about 10 so we are going to use these on the tables (their rectangle tables). Also my family has a TON of mason jars in different sizes. My flowers are gebera daisies and we are going to put 3 in the small ones and 5 in the bigger ones and use them as vases. We have tons of little votive candles from my sister’s wedding and are using those too. Check around and see if anyone has anything from a wedding that they helped decorate that you could change the fabric or flowers and make it your own! Good Luck!

I was in a wedding and we decorated with christmas lights and different colored tuel (like the wedding viel) but only in her colors for the wedding. It was a really neat and cheap way to decorate the hall.

It’s depends on what type of decorations you are thinking of and the location of your wedding reception. You’ll get much better answers if you provide more details.
