I’m getting married next summer and am on a very strict budget but dont want to sacrifice my idea of a dream wedding because of it. Does anybody know of any great websites/magazines/tools/whatever for all the DIY brides out there? The best one I have found at this point is It has almost anything you could want to decorate your event and the prices are fantastic and shipping is extremely reasonable. Anybody have anything else to share?

You can get some great, unique ideas from this fabulous site! That is, if you like unique & offbeat!

I am a DIY bride and had about 120 guests
it turned out very beautiful and elegant, plus i enjoyed every minute because i am a creative person by nature

we didn’t want to spend a fortune so we did most of the work ourselfs
the money went into ballroom and catering

but here are some sites you might find helpfull
savoncrafts is soooooo cool and i got vases there for cheap

if you want inexpensive flowers go through a flower farm online like the following
i bought 75 white roses for just under hundred….i used these for bridesmaids and my bouquet

mine came fresh but i had to clear out a space in my fridge and they will schedule with you when you want them to arrive. or find someone to be in charge of holding your flowers for you

gift boxes for table settings

candies has a lot of cool inexpensive stuff
i bought butterflies from there for my flower girls

another interesting site that has some cheap discounted stuff like crafta is

you can probably make your own wedding invites but i chose to get mine ordered online
i did a lot of research to find the most affordable for the amount of guests we had
here is an example place

another thing i bought from sav on crafts was the lights that drop in the vases for special effects

mirrors as well

there is so much you can do

don’t forget your guest book table….this is the first thing your guests will see entering the reception… can also get some really cool fabric as table cloth from joanns or (which is great because anything after $35 is free shipping)

you can buy bulk seashells to online

also if you have your reception say at a hotel and they cater

get a plain cake with no decor and you can bring your own decor for it

i had a 3 teir white buttercream and added silver star ornaments on it. I had a friend that gave this stuff to the chef

I bought the stars at michaels for 1.99 ea….my wedding was in december and these now go on our tree every year

good luck with everything and have FUN!

forgot to add for flowergirl dresses

you can also research discount wedding dresses online as well

If you need anything glass oriented….vases, dishes, etc., go to:

Some of the things listed are under party supplies; some are under kitchen and tableware; and other are under floral supplies and decor. They will ship right to your house. And, as the name implies, everything is a dollar!
