Baby’s-Breath as a bouquet for wedding…(As seen as on the Today Show) I like…but does it look tacky?

by DIY wedding planner on March 25, 2012

Looking forward to “my big day”…yet trying to save some “loot”. Trying to get some DIY ideas…and was watching The Today Show this morning…and saw this idea, it looks nice to me, as I am having a garden themed-like wedding…but wondering what others thought…THANKS so much!

Its YOUR BIG DAY. Have what you want. I thought it looked great. You’ll only get married one time for the 1st time. Have what you like.

That is a gorgeous flower and it is going to look good in a centerpiece.

I work at a private high school and we just had graduation a could of weeks ago. Some of the recruiting staff made bouquets for all the teachers to give out as a thank you during the ceremony. They ordered WAY too much baby’s breath so they had tons left over … so instead of throwing it away someone put a ribbon around it and stuck it in a vase in our office …. IT LOOKS SO GOOD!

I would never have thought from the sound of it that it would be nice on it’s own … but I also just googled your idea and the image results were really nice too!

I say go for it! It’s a beautiful bouquet, it’s original, and it’s a bit surprising :D

Best Wishes and Congrats!

I think it would look nice. I was at the chicago flower and garden show a few months ago and they had a really Pretty bouquet that was tons of baby’s breath and a few roses throughout, almost like polka dots and it looked very modern and pretty.

Sure! Google image search “babys breath bouquet” there are some really pretty ones. Keep it medium sized, and tie a ribbon around the stems.

I love it. People on here are cruel and will put down anything, but I LOVE BB bouquets.

I found a baby’s breath bouquet picture on a wedding website and told my florist ” I want this bouquet with a few flowers thrown in “. It was gorgeous, simple, beautiful!

That sounds like a great idea! Maybe you can add a couple of roses or daisies from a local flower shop to fill it in a little. Good luck!
