Pick a theme and colors- when I did them for my sons party, I found that the creating took more then the putting together. I suggest you use Silk flower FOAM instead of plain styrafoam for the base. Much easier to stick and stay. I used shredded material to cover the inside of the basket once things were placed-stuck it in and or hot glued it down, I also placed clear floral tape across the base before covering to hold items in base. I know of others who placed candles in their designs-be careful of the height for the table-people like to see across to talk. lots and lots of ideas – good luck min*

The above link is what I will be doing for my centerpieces. They also serve as a table number/name which is great. This has been so easy and looks amazing! I was so happy to have come across it. You can go to any scrapbooking store or place that sells scrapbooking paper. Pick out a color or design you like and go from there. I hope this helps!

what are your colors, or do you have theme, what time of year is it.
if its a winter wedding i love doing three cylinder vases at different heights, filling each one with christmas ornaments in your colors.

for spring a simple potted plant and do a garden theme

summer you could do a beach theme centerpiece, seashells and sand scattered around candles of different heights

fall, three cylinder vases one filled with oats, acorns, leaves

or river rocks scattered around different sized candles

What season is your wedding in? Have you decided on a theme yet? There’s some really great DIY projects that you can do with family and friends and really save a ton of money and have some fun doing so too! I love this site, for various selections of seashells. I love making crafts such as picture frame and mirrors with simple shells.

I’ve recently seen couples use sand dollars as guest favors where they would include the guests name on them and even tie a ribbon, through the top hole and use as tree ornaments. I absolutely love that idea and I’m thinking about doing this for future get-togethers I may have.

This site has all sizes and variations of seashells, so you may want to check them out for inspiration and other ideas.

Hope this helps!
