I’m getting some little baskets and putting Lindor Truffles in them in the flavors raspberry and straciatella. I’m then wrapping the baskets with clear cellophane and tying the cellophane with red and orange ribbons!

You definately can’t go wrong with food. Bake up a batch of Cookies wrap them in some cellophane and tie a ribbon around it. or….. make some CDs with you and your FH’s favorite music and hand them out

You could always check out the dollar tree and get some cute little romancy type candle votives (atleast I think thats what their called.. the little ones you put the candle down inside of, it looks like a cup), get some different candles to go with them, run off a cute little poem, saying thanks for coming or whatever you’d like.. maybe a little poem about your wedding, how you’ll remember it forever or somethin.. run copies of it off of your computer, attach it to the candles, maybe some of those pretty little inexpensive decorating stones down with the candle to hold it in place, tie a ribbon and there you go :)

I know it’s not really do-it-yourself but it’s easy and cheap….

Well we gave scratch lottery tickets to our guests for favors… they were great because you can buy them for as little as 50 cents upwards to… well wherever- $10, $20… whatever. They have them in games and stuff so it is fun for the guest AND the potential to win. I know that I hate the normal favors at weddings, the dumb mints or jordan almonds or truffles… you always forget them at the reception or if you take them home you forget about them and they go to waste. At our wedding we did $1.00 scratch tickets for the guests… many people won at least one dollar so that was neat— a lot of people GAVE us the winning tickets… which was even more awesome! Hehe, the person who won the highest who said something was $20.00— that’s a pretty neat favor I’d say. We gave our wedding party tickets too, but we bought them a few and for higher amounts. It was fun and everyone seemed to think it was cool… also we left a penny for each person to use to scratch them with and we printed off a little love note thing that had a poem which was also significant like winning the lottery and winning eachother or something… my mom printed those off her printer at home on normal paper- it was cheap.
Good luck!

You could make bookmarks with a special poem on them…
A little basket with fresh berries….
Print a pretty monogram on small paper envelopes and fill them with wildflower seeds….
Buy rubber “awareness” bracelets for your favourite charity…
