Hi…I need immediate help. I’m having my wedding on Wednesday and the person who was going to make my wedding favours backed out on me last minute. It’s a small wedding (40 people) so I was looking for ideas on what I can do for the favours. I’m also wondering if anybody knows if I can get a personalized ribbon done in one day for these do it yourself gifts. I appreciate any and all advice.

You could probably find some pretty favor bags at a craft store and fill them with some bulk candy pretty easily.

Hey! I went to Michaels and did my own favors for 40 guests for my wedding next week! Trust me I used the candy boxes with ribbon and thank you tags (its a kit) and it was simple cheap and easy! Congrats and Good Luck!!

DIY favours often include little boxes of chocolates, if you pop into a chocolate shop and are ordering 40 boxes, the owners will probably be fairly helpful.

Some people also use little pot plants for each person, again go for a garden centre to buy in bulk. Pretty ribbons tied around each one in your wedding colours will make it match your day.

Others like to bake little biscuits, pipe icing on with guests initials if you want to be really fancy, if not do them all the same with ribbons tied again. Martha Stewart’s wedding site has templates and ideas.

Good luck!

It’s hard to get any kind of personalization on such short notice but sometimes it’s possible if vendors aren’t very busy.

I’d give up on the do-it-yourself favors though, it’s just too much work this soon before the wedding..
