Having a wedding soon – where to find cheap fake flowers?

by DIY wedding planner on September 6, 2013

I’m trying to keep our costs down for our upcoming wedding by doing more DIY projects. I’ve always heard it’s cheaper to buy silk flowers but they seem to still be fairly pricey! Anyone know of a good website I can buy them in bulk or any other helpful wedding/flower/diy tips? Thanks.

The dollar tree is actually a decent place to get some.

The problem is that cheap fake flowers LOOK cheap.

Good fake flowers that look reasonably real are still going to cost you a pretty penny

Don’t buy cheap fake flowers for three reasons: 1.) Cheap silk flowers are ugly, 2.) Even the most inexpensive ones aren’t cheap, 3.) What are you going to do with all of those plastic flowers once the wedding is over?

Just go to Kroger, Costco, Sam’s and buy bunches of roses. You can get a dozen for about $12. Bouquets of less expensive flowers (carnations, etc.) can be had for 1/2 that. That’s easily all of the bouquets, centerpieces, etc. you’ll need for a wedding (wrap the stems with ribbon from Walmart or the dollar bin at Michael’s) for less than $100.

I was in a wedding that had these and they are very beautiful, inexpensive and light! They are wood not plastic.

How appropriate that you should mention CHEAP and FAKE FLOWERS
in the same sentence.

Don’t forget to spray them with Glade before you walk down the aisle.
