I have a wedding invitation I can’t find an envelope size for. What size should I get for this?

by DIY wedding planner on March 22, 2012

I have an invitation kit that I used and they came out great, but I need an outer envelope to protect the invitation itself from being ruined in the mail. The invitation measures 8.5 length and almost 6.5 height. I cant seem to find an envelope size to fit this size invitation. We were hoping to find lined envelopes, but it doesn’t seem like they exist. Any suggestions?

You should go to Walmart of Michaels, they have tons of Evelopes to choose from.
Good Luck =)

my invitations folded up into an envelope, and you put the rsvp card inside as well as the invitation and direction card.
Are you sure yours arent the same? I had them hand cancelled and they were fine!

WOw hun, those are really big!! I would try and find a way to fold them or might have to forgo the lined envelope and go regular. Those are gonna cost an arm and a leg too. Odd sized or over sized envelopes cost extra, make sure you take it into a post office to price it out. I would try Office Depot or any other office supply stores. Good Luck!! =)

try lcipaper.com

they have lined and unlined envelopes in just about any color imaginable. their prices aren’t what you’d pay at walmart or michaels, but their quality isn’t what you’d get there, either…

*ADD* I just checked out their site, and they don’t have anything that big. Sorry. Any chance of cutting the invites down to 8.5 x 5.5? They have 8.75 x 5.75 lined envelopes.
