I have been looking all over the internet for ideas or favors to buy, but have not found anything that sticks out. Ideas please! I need it to be relatively cheap and I don’t mind buying them or the diy ones. Thanks!

Candy. Cheap and everyone likes candy, and if not someone else can take theirs.

If you get little knickknacks and stuff that ALL ends up in the garbage (sorry, no matter what anyone says, people aren’t interested in little things with your name on them).

I got handmade plantable paper heart favors from swallowtailfarms.com. They were really pretty cheap (25 for 19.95, free shipping if you order 3 or more sets). They have a wide range of colors, contain live wildflower seeds, and came with little glassine envelopes and instructions for each one. You can also buy personalized ones, but it’s more expensive. I’m printing off my own personalized labels for them. But it’s unique, cheap, and environmentally friendly. I love them!!!

Orientaltrading.com has a lot of fairly cute ideas. I’ll probably just do bubbles. Are you going for some type of theme?

Depending on what your theme is, there are a lot of things that you can get for under $1 each.
My cousin made cookies as favors for her wedding and put them in cute little bags then tied them with ribon. She was on a tight budget so it worked out well for her because they were cheap to make, and they were a huge it! A lot of favors end up being just a waste of money, but the cookies definetly were not:)

I got married in April, but 5 years ago. I had flower seed packets for everyone. I ordered them from the internet and they were really cheap. (Forgot the website – so long ago!) But they were packaged for weddings, so they weren’t regular flower packets. They also included the verse from our wedding invitations on each packet. We still have the flowers blooming each year on our anniversary – it is VERY special!

Hi!

I am also getting Married but not until next year 7/2/2010 =)

I would have to agree with going to OrientalTrading.com

They are not expensive and great ideas. I am ordering all my favors and accessories from them.

It would depend on how big your wedding will be and what season.

Last October I went to a wedding and the couple had printed pictures of themselves and put them in frames…it sounds more expensive than it is. They got the small and cute frames relatively cheap and printed the pics themselves.

Bubbles is the going them right now. Plus they sell them at walmart.

Someone I know bought Christmas ornaments at the dollar tree. Which our Dollar Tree actually has a lot of wedding stuff…so look there and like they said before Oriental Trading is a great place to look.

Good luck.

I liked the seed idea, but put a different spin on them.

I bought little white plastic flower pots ($.25 each) and put a little baggie of dirt in each one and a little baggie of seeds. I wrapped them with clear wrap and a ribbon and added a cute poem tag that I wrote myself.

Guests were stealing extras off the tables. The little baggies you can get at any craft store in the bead aisle – like 100 for $2. Dirt is cheap, and find some bulk seeds…use your wedding flower seeds to tie it all together!

I have people tell me all the time about how theirs are growing!

Think outside the box and try to tie it in with your theme. Don’t go for the same old junk that you see everywhere.

If you’re going to do candy….then do the buffett.

Good Luck!

Well it all depends but candy is my best advise, my wedding was in december and the favors were candy canes i figured or they will eat them or they will take it home and hang it on their tree

I have to agree with the seed idea also. It seems really popular right now. Very eco-cool.
One of my girlfriends just sent me this link to give her my opinion and it is actually a really cool idea.
It is a place card and favor all in one. It’s called the “Please be Seeded” Plantable place card holder or something like that.

http://www.e-weddingfavors.com/ My advice is to play to the ladies. Regardless of the favor you choose, they are typically more tuned in and appreciative than their male counterparts. Below are some of the ideas I’d suggest …
