I need some unique wedding favor ideas?

by DIY wedding planner on December 10, 2011

They need to be as cheap as possible/ DIY/ and pretty simple to do but still a nice favor.

The wedding colors are pale rose pink with touches of gold (metallic)

The groom’s cake will be a giant hershey’s kiss (shape) with foil all “unwrapped” around it with a “tag”

so the favor idea can play off of the hershey’s kisses theme or roses….or anything, I’m pretty open!

I would get a the different Hersey kisses on the market and put them in sachets.

can you perhaps make some chocolates shaped like those hershey kisses and then print on some thin paper both of your names, the date of the wedding and then stick it in the chocolate before being foil wrapped? sort of like the hersheys kisses but bigger and with your names on the paper instead of kisses?=) you can also wrap it in rose-colored foil to go with the color. have fun!

I would try to find the pastel colored wrapped kisses, then put them in little gift boxes tied up all pretty and elegant, or in a little sachet bag! (However, I like the boxes better!) Make sure to include a little note or saying that lets guests know how happy you are that they joined you and your hubby on your big day and then your wedding date! I would use alternating gold and rose ribbons for the boxes and if you choose the sachets, I would use alternating gold and rose there also!
Favors don’t have to be extravagant, just something to show you thought about your guests!
Good luck and congrats!

Make a cd of all of you and your fiances favorite music, make your cd label and place them at each place setting if it’s a sit down or place them in a basket if it’s a buffet style!

What about the rose buds you make from two hershey kisses. You could even make a bouquet for the tables.

I would look at Hershey’s website and buy some personalized kisses!! You can have your names put on the tag or just married. Maybe then keep it simple and sprinkle rose petals and kisses on the tables. Guests will help themselves.

Hope that helps!

I am doing flower seeds. They can be planted in our honor but still have something beautiful that they can use and not throw away. You can make 100 favors for about $20.00. I like it, you can use any colors, any flowers. You could also get hershey kisses and wrap them in tool (a couple per person) then on the tag (around the tool) write as we share our first kiss as husband and wife, eat this kiss from us to you! Thanks for coming! Your and His Name, Date!
Good luck!

I wouldn’t.
Most people just leave them anyway. It’s just more dust-sucking items and nothing says cheap like random junk from the dollar store.

Here’s a great website that has really cute and decently priced favors. They have a ton of stuff so I’m pretty sure you could find something perfect for your wedding. :)

If you are looking for a favor that ppl will either throw away or eat and never remember then the Hershey’s kisses, bookmarks and things like that are a cute idea.
We wanted something that ppl would continue to use after the wedding. We are going with personalized shot glasses. They are glass, you can have your names and date placed on them, plus they have tons of graphics to choose from or you can send them your own graphic and they aren’t badly priced. About .61 each we are having 250 guests which comes out to about $153.00 for all the favors. Hope thins helps.
