My cousin was takeing off on his harlley after the ceremony to the reception and they made their own cards online with a bride and groom on a motorcycle. It was very sweet. Or I saw people make the cards with thier picture as a couple on them and the words underneath. You could probally do that at staples.

We bought paper and envelopes at, and printed them on our computer. Then we bought stamps and ink at Pat Catan’s and put some swirly designs on them. Pretty and original, and less than $1 each!

You should of said how much your willing to spend on invitations. But in any case you can consider taking some romantic pictures of you and your fiance and going to any drugstore that has a kodak picture maker and printing out postcards.

My husband designed our own cards and we had them printed. It was not until after the wedding people realised that the card was a representation of our wedding ring (which we also designed ourselves

you can run with the theme of your wedding for invites… I did a “photo booth” invite. my hub and I had an old photo strip from the beach boardwalk in a photo booth on one of our first dates… I printed it on larger cardstock with the invitation info and put a cute bow and charm on it. Our theme was 1940s so we kept it black and white. You could do a ticket stub one, like going to the movie theater…. check out Target too. They have some amazing DIY kits just make sure you have a great quality printer and lots of time/patience. It takes a while to do them right.

My son was going to do the diy. He found out that he was inviting too many people for those to be practical. He is inviting 125 people. when you figure time, ink and kits (multiple) he was not saving enough money to justify the limited choices he had. He did find a place that gave a 15% discount for online orders and all the choices of the print shops.
You can thank my son for the website.
Oh the other hand, if you are having a small wedding. The kits give you options on wording and such.

Make them at at You can make use of the thousands of graphics or templates to make your invitation. It would probably cost you only $2 to make the invitation layout for downloading to your computer. From here you can either print on your computer or have a photo finisher such as Snapfish or Shuterfly print them. The screen quality images are free.
