I will design my own invitations and I’m having a hard time looking for wedding flourishes.

Hey I actually made my invitations today as well.

I used photoshop CS4 but I think older versions of photoshop can use these brushes as well. I downloaded some great ones that went on my invitations from deviantart.com

I found some great stuff under Resources and Stock Images. The brushes are usually free to download and use. The ones I used came from a wonderful pack of 40 brushes that you can pretty much use like stamps in photoshop made by Deviantart user named ~Finsternis-stock. The url for those brushes :

http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/?q=brush&order=9&offset=120&offset=168#/dz7gud

Just download the ABR file and assuming you have photoshop installed it will automatically be in your brush presets. I hope that helps and good luck with your project!

I wouldn’t use the default brushes and art in Illustrator or Photoshop if you are trying to make something unique. I like these websites for finding free stuff:

http://www.vecteezy.com (vectors) and http://www.brusheezy.com (brushes).

http://www.sxc.hu is great for photos, but they also have a lot of illustrations now.

DaFont, like someone else mentioned, is always a great resource.

Another thing I like to do for inspiration is do a Google image search for what I am looking for, then use those ideas to draw my own in Illustrator. That way I have my own original artwork.
