Music for wedding reception?

by DIY wedding planner on May 9, 2012

I am trying to get some ideas for my country wedding reception. I have all special songs, first dance, couples, parents, last song, but what are the songs you just love to hear at a reception? Country, rock, POP…already have some AC/DC, brick house, ain’t goin down by Garth… this is my fiance and I’s first wedding and we are in our 30′s… we are also a DIY couple, so we are supplying the song lists!

I’m more into Texas Country. With that being said, Brandon Rhyder “Freeze Frame Time” is a good one for a wedding. And Aaron Watson “Love Making Song” is a great one.. Nice and fast, and eludes to the wedding night ;)

Carrie Underwood “Mama’s Song”.

For the dance when the bride dances with her father you should play “i Loved her first” by tim mcgraw, Such an emotional, beautiful song.
