I’m trying to plan a wedding for 5 months form now, but I”m currently living on the other side fo the world. I know there are a lot of ways to get things done with help from family and the internet, but I don’t know what to do about renting a tux for my husband since you have to place a finalized order weeks in advance and we will only be home for 2 weeks at the most before the big day. How can we overcome this problem?

A wedding planner

When I got married, we had ushers from out of state
The tux shop said a card for them to get measure at a tux place by them and then send it to the tux shop

Unless it prom weekend, they can fix any problems that come up

Look for a tux shop

Things like this, a wedding planner could help you out
Do you trust anyone to help pick one out

Or do you have family members that could check tux shops that will do this from someone else measurements?

I live in Australia and got married in the Philippines. I visited websites of several venues and compared them. Then I sent the money to a relative there for down payment to the venue, although I could have also paid by bank transfer but I was trying to save on the charges. I made all the invitations here in Aus. I made the wrist corsages for the bridesmaids, my own bouquet, place cards, guest table labels, and the program for the reception. I made little bridesmaid kits, which included contact info of everyone in the wedding party and a card where I attached bits of the fabric and ribbons I used for all my DIY projects, so they would have a basis for picking their outfits. I sneaked into wedding coordinators websites and into the list of photographers they often get for their projects. I reckoned if those photographers are endorsed by those reputable planners, then they must be reputable photographers too. I communicated with the vendors via email, asking them all my questions about their services. I took a two-week holiday to the Phils in July, applied for marriage license, met with the wedding party, brought all finished DIY projects, and took care of the vendors, etc. It was worth it, as I was able to take care of almost everything. Then I came back again in October for the wedding. Everything was okay. I had no complaints with my vendors’ services. The two-wk earlier holiday I took in July was really worth it. I did not need to panic about anything when I came back in October and I only had to enjoy the wedding.
