You’re getting married at Wal-Mart? That is so cute!

Definetly original.

They have nice ones at Staples. Not sure about Wal-Mart.

I have never shopped at Wal Mart and for good reason. My guess would be a thumbs down on these types of invitations. Why not make them yourself?

Over the years I have seen so many diff wedding invitations that to me whatever you want to do, do it.

I like them. They are simple but they have some that are simple yet elegant at the same time.

Stay within your budget. Use the ones you like.

Good luck on a long and happy marriage.

Depends on what look you’re going for. Everything now a days is more elegant any way the simplier it is! If you take your time and do it right, I don’t think anyone will know where it came from and it doesn’t matter anyway. I think you’re smart!!

If your looking for something very very formal you might want to try somewhere else. But some of the kits they have at walmart are pretty and classic. It all depends on what your looking for…
Just so you know if you’re looking at walmart because it’s easier on the wallet then you can try some discount wedding supply sites. If you google it they give you some good sites.

I personally don’t like the do-it-yourself kits. We brought some from Party City and my sister who does great invites did them but we ultimately decided to get them done professionally. My mom ordered them without me knowing and they were beautiful and inexpensive.

I liked them. I was going to use them but I found a cheaper place to get the same ones. So, I bought the other one instead of the ones at Walmart. I think the ones from Walmart look just like the ones you would order from a catolog, but you can make them for a much cheaper price. I made a hundred of them for $25. They look really nice.
I got my invites from a store called Crafts 2000. They are white with the 2 golden hearts at the top. They only cost $5.00 a box and the ink was $25 at Walmart. They come with R.S.V.P. cards too.

I got mine at Jo-annes Fabrics and Crafts. They were very beautiful. When you buy them at a craft store they give you all kinds of extra options. My invitation itself was cream colored with olive writing and a beautiful rose bush in the heading area. The invitation was then in a transparent olive colored flower designed (antique looking) sleeve, around the sleeve was an ivory ribbon with a small engagment ring attachment. I sent out 125 invitations and I think after all the accesories they were 90 dollars or so.

People told me they were some of the most beautiful invitations they’ve ever seen and were SHOCKED we (myhusabnd and I) made them.

Go to Michaels. And for pity’s sake don’t use Walmart’s honeymoon kit, I still have the handcuffs on.

I just got a very nice invitation kit at AC Moore. They have a HUGE selection; the biggest selection I saw among all of the stores. If you go online and print a coupon, you can get 40% off of their cost. Or, if you are like me and you shop there regularly, I used one of the 50% off coupons I received the last time I checked out! It’s a GREAT deal.

The invites they have (at least the ones I got) are online if you’d like to get an idea…

Mine are coral, not pink, because that is my main wedding color. They come with 25 invitation cards, 25 invitation backers, 25 response cards, 25 ribbons, 25 invitation envelopes, and 25 response card envelopes.

Hi. It depends on which ones you are talking about. I know they have some plain ones with a silver border. I think they have the ones with the two silver hearts also. These are the same kits that you find in other places (Michael’s, etc.) so they are fine.

If you want more variety….I do know that Michaels has lots to choose from (if there is one near you), and you can ask at the counter for a 40% off coupon (I used to work there so I know this.)

If you want more variety….or something a little fancier, but still a “do it yourself”….try Target, Office Max, Staples, Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

But if you like the simple plain ones….then, yes, the ones from Walmart are fine. Remember…..in the end…everyone just tosses them!

Kit April 9, 2012 at 3:15 pm

I bought the kit… then dressed it up a bit. Took the invites and used that as a template to cut a piece of chocolate brown scrapbook paper then cut a piece of champagne gold paper just 1/4 inch smaller than that then after printing on the included invites cut them down to 1/4 inch small than the gold. I punched two small holes in the top and secured all three pieces together with a ribbon. Buying the scrapbook paper for only .29/ea which gave me enough to do 2 invites and two rolls of ribbon at .44/ea it cost me an additional $12.00 to dress up my “kit” invites. It made them very personal and no-one knew that they were from a kit.

I’m using them. I think they’re cute. Just get some with a really pretty design. I’m adding ribbon to mine as well and they look really pretty.
