I am thinking about using paper lanterns for my centerpieces in a ballroom. I was only planning on placing a flameless votive or tealight inside the lantern. I wanted to use the round lanterns as they are more cost effective. Does anyone know if they would sit well on a table or have any pictures?

Sounds great but do not put any candle inside. A guest may attempt to light the candle and ruin your wedding.

I have seen people put paper lanterns on top of a round dish and inside the dish they put something of color like fruit or flowers. As for the flameless candles, they will not show up. There is a way to light them though, Go onto theknot.com, go to the DIY message board and there is a girl on there who has step by step instructions on how to make mini lights to put inside.
