You can use candles for decorations, and buy them at the dollar store…Plus they will add some Elegance to your reception. Have you tried making your own flower arrangements..Find a craft store that sells silk flowers and see what you can make up yourself.
As for the church, find some pretty rope in deep red and link them together with that. It will probably be cheaper than tulle and still look pretty.

You don’t need to use anything to link them together. Less is more. Just put the bows on the end of the pews.

I did balloon decorations. Helium is not extremly cheap, especially since you will need quite a few balloons. They did look good though. I used the idea from 90210 Episode 1:10 – Games People Play…Annie’s 16th b-day. Not a great pic but: http://www.cwtv.com/photos/90210/00530310d31

Balloons do fill up a lot of space in a good way.

Good luck!

check out the martha stewart weddings site.

She has a wedding (in other colors than yours) decorated with balloons, and several samples of tissue paper pomanders. A lot of her DIY stuff also comes with free downloadable templates.

Also check out diybride.com for more diy ideas.

I found looking at pictures of other people’s weddings helped inspire my own wedding. I used flickr and used the key words “wedding” and my colors.

Hi im a professional planner and please for the love of God dont use balloons at your wedding ceremony or reception. How much is your budget? People or should I say society tend to think weddings cost a fortune guess what they dont. Its just the people you deal with(vendors) costing you a fortune.
search flowers for a “birthday party” then google “wedding flowers” the price will triple for the exact same flower arrangements. Balloon bouquets cost about 12 to 15 dollars each I can decorate a hall or venue for the costs of two balloon bouquets and it would look flawless.when you dont have the budget you substitute money with time. Search thrift shops for wedding items like hurricane glasses and votive holders on the 50% off days. I bought(8) 36 inch trumpet vases for less than 10 bucks. Washed them out then decorated with floating candles. These vases I bought normaly costs $36 to $110 dollars depending on where you shop.

You can try candle arrangement for the decoration. This is an inexpensive wedding decoration, but it will surely brighten up the mood by setting the perfect ambiance. Furthermore, actually, not every real flowers are expensive. Some are not, although usually they come in a monotone (one color) theme. You can read more here: http://www.wedding-trends.info/inexpensive-wedding-reception-ideas.php for more inexpensive wedding ideas.

I’m not a big fan of balloons at a wedding. I’d check out this site for some quality wedding decorations and ideas. I would focus on getting quality personalized wedding decorations for the essential elements like unity candles, guestbooks, etc… and then, whatever you have left over in your budget try to make the smaller things work.

Good luck!
