Wedding favor help, DIY!?

Were getting married in the forest preserve and Id love to make some sort of canned wedding favor such as strawberry rubarb jam, pumpkin butter, something of that sort. any ideas of great recipes?

That is a fabulous idea! However, there are many questions for this. Are you growing the fruit? What season are you getting married in and that would determine strawberry jam or pumpkin butter as both are completely different seasons. What is good to one person might not be good to you so you should really test out a recipe to see what you think of it.

Many brides would use the wedding colors to help decide as well.

Have you ever canned fruit before? Cans can be expensive. And it’s terribly time consuming so do not put this off to the last minute when you are stressed.

Here are two books filled with recipes. I’ve read the first one and it’s great. I love those recipes. The 2nd one looks like a good beginner book as well.
