I need ideas for wedding favors. The wedding is at an aquarium (not to be confused with a beach theme…) and is in fall. Either fall or aquarium stuff is fine with me. Something around $2-3 each. It can be DIY.

They are cute plus they are already boxed with the Thank You tabs and you can always change your Thank You tabs and ribbon to what you want it to say. :o )

His nephew did a fishing type theme and had small gold fish in small bowls with a box (the small favor boxes) full of fish food… It was really neat especially seem there colors were black and gold.. .

Votive candle holders painted with tropical fish. Can be “funny” or “classy” depending on the colors used and such.

The best wedding favors I’ve come across in a wedding was a jelly bean bar! Everyone went down the line and filled little bags with whatever they wanted. The jelly beans were displayed in large glass containers that looked like fish bowls.

maybe take the money you would spend per person and dontate it to a nearby aquarium in your guests’ names.

here are some other ideas…

How about a souvenier from the aquarium? Check out their gift shop and see if they have some stuff that is in your price range, then talk to the gift shop manager and see if they can order enough for you to have for your guest count.

Another idea would be to make a donation to the aquarium, and give each guest a donation card that says “In lieu of favors, a donation has been made to sponsor the Dolphin Exhibit at the Such and Such Aquarium”. You could also call the membership office and ask if they have coupons for a discount on an annual membership to the aquarium and give those out with the donation cards.

I think these are cute – this is the site i used for part of my favors:

My favors are picture frame place card holders, then i have a personalized shotglass with a small bag of light blue and white m&ms in there (my name is melissa and his name is matt and my girls colors are pool) in the shotglass all wrapped in tool…all DIY. then i have personalized matches for the tables and thank you mints.

You can find small gift boxes (plastic or paper) using a main color of your wedding, fill them with fish shaped candies (check your local bulk candy shops) and then put cute personalized tag on the boxes in the shape of fish or a maple leaf. There are many websites that you can search for all of these products and have them shipped to you. Congrats!

IT is best to have an something they can eat or drink as a favor because most of them will get left behind. On that note. here are a few good ideals.
Salt water taffy wrapped in tulle. ( salt water/ salt water taffy)
Fish candy or cookies.
Wine or water bottles with labels that have fish or star fish on them.
good luck with your search
