wedding favors and invitations.. 10pts to best answer.?

by DIY wedding planner on May 9, 2012

im looking for nice, fun invitations that are cheap.
(do not offer diy invitations because my printer doesnt work and i dont want to go through the hassle of getting them done. i rather order.)
can you paste some links where there are nice wedding invitations for cheap that come with everything. (rsvp, thank you cards, envelopes.. etc.)

also, im not sure what to do as my wedding favors. my colors are bright pink and tangerine. i need something cheap but nice and tasteful. this is a formal wedding.

any help would be nice.
10pts to the best answer.
whoever leaves stupid comments will just be ignored. lol
thank you for the answers we got so far! i actually went on a few sites and found personalized shot glasses for .79 and i am going to go with those and fill them up with candy! i absolutely love this idea!

now only thing is invitations. im not sure if some of the websites that people recommended were DIY invites but DIY invites are completely out of the question. my printer is crappy and i dont have patience to be going to stores and trying to get them done!

thanks sooo much for what ive gotten so far!

try invitations by dawn. they have complete kits in lots of designs and are rather inexpensive.
for favours, pink mints or candies in white tulle tied with tangeriene curling ribbon. costs about $1 per guest and is loved by everyone.

My husband is a minister so we have seen many things done for both things you are wanting ideas for.

Invitations: have you looked into Vista Print, we just ordered my brothers wedding invites off of there and you can do so much with them and create a whole package, and if you go at the right time you can get a lot of stuff free too! We do it all the time and the products so far we have ordered have all been great!

As for favors: something formal and cheap. I would say maybe find some nice boxes in those colors, put name and date stickers on them and put candy of some sort inside, many of our weddings have done this over the last few months. Or shot glasses with candles in them and wrap them in tulle of your wedding colors. We have had a lot of them too, but I personally like candy/food better as people eat it and not throw it away.

Hope this helps in some way.

What about small boxes of sugared almonds?

Congrats!! I am on a huge budget for my wedding and so finding cheap but cheerful invatations was a big thing for me! I found a lot of wedding supplies on Exclusively Weddings website… This is a great website when planning a wedding everything is affordable and great quality. My wedding invatations were inexpensive and great quality. My invatations came with everything- envelopes, invatation, reception card, and rsvp card!! Way cheaper to go this route rather then buying all that seperate!
I didnt do party favors because I was on a huge budget… sorry cant help you with that.
Good luck! Hope this helps :)

I got my invites from They have full sets of stationary and aren’t too expensive. Plus, if you sign up for their e-mail list, they send percent-off coupons!

You could hire a design student to custom make invitations that a local printer could produce. The design student would need the work and since they are a student the cost would be a lot less than someone who is active in the field. Then you could get something really unique.

I think this site is cute:

Too bad your printer doesn’t work, this week Big Lots has Martha Stewart wedding stuff for $2 each! You can get a pack of 40 invitations for only $2!!!! It’s almost worth buying a cheap $30 printer!

I am using for my invitations. I found them to be more affordable than going to a local shop. I went with the BeDazzle collection, except I am going to add my own rhinestones (that I bought from a craft store). Good luck!

I would absolutely recommend Wedding Paper Divas. My invitations came out SO cute, and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for something even cheaper, try Vista Print. However, they have a smaller selection of nice wedding invitations because they specialize in business and office printing. I would recommend Vista Print more for personalized thank you cards, cute return address labels, and that sort of thing.

You could take a look at this site. I don’t know what you qualify as cheap, but this site has an ‘Affordable Elegance’ section.
