What are some good wedding websites that give tips and hints on things to make for your own wedding?

by DIY wedding planner on December 11, 2011

We’re not looking for an expensive wedding, and we’re both creative and we would really like to create our own unique things to put in the wedding (like designing our invitations, making favors, the dress, etc.) what are some good places that specialize in this.

There’s always theknot.com or I randomly found this blog where the bride did the majority of her wedding stuff (invites, aisle runner, unity candle) by herself. There are some really good ideas on both sites!

Check wedding blogs such as weddingbee.com or snippetandink.blogspot.com etc.

If you are looking to save money on invitations there is a great website http://www.VideoInvitation.net which allows you to create video invitation! This can be very creative, fun way and unique idea with RSVP features. All you have to do is, create your video invitation message, open account in that website, choose the design, upload video & send. Right now this website is free.

I think this video based invitation can be great idea for you.

And have happy wedding and happy marriage life :)

Here’s a great site that will show you what you can put your favors in – they start at $.60 each so you could make something (even edible if you want) and put it inside of these items for a great impression that will keep your guests talking! Click on this link and then on ‘Favor Boxes and Containers’ on the left hand side. For the money (or lack-there-of) it’s worth it to check this out. Good luck!
