I actually work at a DIY wedding invitation store, but I really want something unique for mine, as I have seen it all. Any ideas?

I had two squares of red and gold card on a cream background, with three small roses overlaid on them which were woven into a braid, then a gold stam saying Wedding Invitation…

How about something from a different culture?

I am planning on getting a wedding invitation from this site on handmade paper. I think it helps represent my cultural background and the eastern side of our wedding.

I wish I had pictures of mine, my mum made them and they were just lovely. She got a square of blue sparkly paper (you know that paper that looks like fine sand paper) and then cut a smaller square from cream coloured pearlised paper and printed the words on it in blue ink and fancy script. She attached that to the blue paper so there was a border of blue showing all around the edges of the pearly paper. On the top left corner she attached two marabou fluffy feathers, one blue, one cream and at the end of the stems she stuck a heart shaped jewel to cover the end of the feather stalks. To finish it off she got a strip of patterned vellum paper, cream coloured, about the same width as the pearly paper and wrapped it around the whole card, she made a hole on each side with a heart shaped hole punch then threaded blue and cream ribbons through it and tied it with a bow. It’s hard to describe really but we just loved them. I tried to find something on line that looked similar, this is the closest I could find.

We needed a folded invitation (like a page folded in four), because we needed to have them print the invitation on both sides inside.
On the front were raised cala lilies, white with teal accents. Our names were engraved in teal. On the inside, the invitation information was engraved in English on the right side, in Ukrainian on the left.
The paper was not parchment, but kind of had the ‘feel’ – don’t know what it’s called. Right edge was left ‘ragged’ cut.

These were mine:

I actually had a thank you card that I had been saving that was the same idea and it took me forever to find something like this. Plus my colors were chocolate and peach so they matched perfectly. They worked great because we had lots of info that needed to be included and these had 4 pages in each invite.

Good luck finding something.
