I am looking for a program to use so I can make my wedding invites myself so save a little money. I am wanting to do a tri fold invitation with pictures of my fiance and I with black and white design of some sort. Any info would be so greatly appreciated.

You can go to http://www.fedex.com/us/office/invitations/index.html/?lid=quicklink_invitations
This is a pretty affordable place where you can make your own invitations

openoffice.org
this has a lot of templates, you can make table place names, your own menus and they even have a couple of prewritten and blank checklist templates.

it is the same as microsoft office, but free. it has spreadsheets, excel and everything else.

I like black and white sense of the sea sunset
Just a personal preference
Good luck

Professionals use adobe illustrator. You can download it from adobe’s website as a free 30 day trial. It is a little hard to understand at first. People go to school to learn how to use it, but you can view the tutorials they hav available in the help section. That should be enough for you to create your own wedding invitations! Do you already have your trifold stationary? That may be hard to buy in a store. Myurbaninvites.com sells do it yourself “trifold cards” also known as gate cards. You have to e-mail them in order to get it because they dont sell it on their website. myurbaninvites@gmail.com. Good luck!

A good amount of printers already come with great software that you could do that in. You can also probably do that in the newer version of your computers word processing software. http://www.theengagementclub.com/ may have some great ideas of interesting ways to create invitations.

photo shop elements is another one that is cheap – it often comes bundled on sony laptops so if you know anyone who has a sony laptop ask them if you can use it. – then if you do get to use it you can make use of all the free photoshop brushes out there or u can check on designbetty
