you see, me and my fiancée plan on making our own wedding invitations, but we want to know what should and what shouldn’t be included in it… thanks for your help!

How silly to spend all that money for a wedding when you can just go to Vegas and get married and have some fun then go back and put money on your home or car !
You have to state your name, your fiance’s name, where the ceremony will be held, the date and time, and where the reception will be held.
.
i have an invitations company and well i think believe that the content on your invitation depends on what you want on the invitation, but the things that are normally content are things like, venue, time, date, dresscode, and where a gift list is to be obtained, then you have stuffs like RSVP details and details relating to who to call should you need extra info bout the wedding, GOOD LUCK,
your name, your fiance’s name, parents name of both sides,
name of the person u are invited like, “” & family or “” & “”…
the place/event your wedding is held, the time, date, personal words u may like to write to the person u are inviting
& most of all I wish u 2 the BEST!
Happy married life!
In mine I put a reception card to let people know when and where the reception is, hotel information with a map on the backside for our out-of-town guest, and the response card.

You will need the invitation itself, information about the reception (if held in another location), an RSVP card (postcard or if not then include envelope & stamp), and if there are a lot of out-of-towners then a map and directions are always nice.
Other optional items are tissue paper and an inner envelope.
At the beginning, how you word things is optional, it would be most usual to have something like -
