Where can I get vellum paper to make my own wedding invitations?

by DIY wedding planner on January 28, 2012

I have found wedding invitation kits, but I’d like to just by the paper and make them myself. I know where to get the cards that go in them, but I’d like to find some pretty translucent vellum to wrap the cards in, or cover them. Where can I find this? I’ve looked at all the craft stores.

I would find a really upscale stationary store…I am POSITIVE they would have it there. Or try a really good art supply store.

vellum requires a prescription

I’m not sure where you live, but I have found it at Michaels before. If that’s not panning out for you, try a stationery store. Also, maybe try looking for a link online. Best wishes!

Most art supply stores carry design vellum, but it is usually very pricey. However, you could probably find it cheaper at Blick’s. Try http://www.dickblick.com.

Ebay has nice vellum.
I should know I’ve purchased enough of it.

Try a stationery or wedding supplies store.
