Where to make your own wedding invitations?

by DIY wedding planner on December 9, 2011

I am looking for a website online to create my own wedding invitations. I would like to find a template where I can insert a picture as well. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go check out the library and any local arts and craft/scrap booking shops for templates and books.
Im making my own invites as well, and they have really great books on different styles, colors and soo much more

Create them on your computer, using Microsoft PowerPoint, and print them out in color either at home, or at the library.

Well…I said this before to someone else who said they liked the idea, but I don’t honestly know how this would be done.

This really only works for small weddings, unless you will have a lot of people helping you out, but I can’t see this working past 250 guests.

Order some paper online, or go to a scrap booking store and get as much paper as you will think you need (you will probably need to talk to a manager or something and ask what they have in stock and if you can buy it. This is simply an idea, and in all honesty it would probably work better if you just ordered paper online…I really haven’t a clue but I’m sure somehow it could be done. I can’t tell you where to go though sorry…I haven’t a clue.) You can buy the paper(s) in whatever colors and styles you want, and even add ribbon and such :)

Then make your own! Print the information on the paper and make it into a card :)

Then you could maybe insert a picture into it for your guests to keep :)

I really don’t know if you would be able to but that much paper but I can’t see why you couldn’t unless it isn’t in stock.

Good luck and hope my idea helped :)

I found a web site called Storkie that can do what you are looking for.

Here is a link to their customization page…

Also if you fave a Facebook account they did a eBook about how you can use Facebook to invite people.

Hopefully this helps you.

I recommend using Zazzle.com. You can make your own by uploading your artwork or photos, and adding the text on their site. Or, you can search through many pre-made templates that other people have created, and change or customize those until they are perfect for you. They also have envelopes, RSVPs, save the dates, and postage. You order the printing right from the website. Your order ships out within few days.

You can create a wedding invitation layout at CropMom, then have it printed by a photo service, such as Shutterfly. CropMom is an online scrapbooking site that lets you add your photos and your text to a layout and embellish it with graphics.

Use a 5″ by 7″ canvas, then have it printed on the cover of a 5″ by 7″ greeting card at Shutterfly or Snapfish.
