Writing up your own Wedding invitations?

by DIY wedding planner on December 13, 2011

I’m currently in the process of making my wedding invites, but I’m unfortuently stuck for words when it comes to writng them up! Our parents are not involved so it will simply be us requesting the company of our guests. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Can we involve our daughter’s name in anyway on the invite? It’s not a formal wedding in a church or anything so I just want simple ideas.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can say something like, You are cordially invited to witness uniting the family as a whole between “brides name”, “grooms name” and their daughter, “daughters name” on the “day” of “month” in “year” at “place of ceremony” at “time” followed by a reception at “reception place” at “time”.
